Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress is a novel aversion of the Christian allegory, The Pilgrim's Progress from this world to that which is to come. 

Written by Samuel Phillips Day in eighteen chapters, this novel narrates the spiritual journey of a fictitious character Christian and his wife Christiana and son from the city of destruction to heaven. While Christian travel alone in the first part, the second part narrates the journey of Christiana along with her son and Mercy.
