Dubliners is a collection of short stories written by Irish writer James Joyce, during a period when people of the then Ireland was peaking at Irish Nationalism. Based on the Middle class life of people around Dublin, some of these 15 stories were narrated by Child protagonists and moved on to older people.
The stories are narrated and referenced to the specific geographical areas of Dublin, which the reader can easily relate to actual geographical area. The author leaves the stories to the reader for their own conclusions unlike earlier writers like Charles Dickens.
The stories are titled “The Sisters”, "An Encounter", "Araby", "Eveline", "After the Race", "Two Gallants", "The Boarding House", "A Little Cloud", "Counterparts", "Clay" , "A Painful Case", "Ivy Day in the Committee Room", "A Mother", "Grace" and "The Dead".
