Synopsis

Measure for Measure is a play by William Shakespeare, deals with mortality, corruption and justice. Vienna's Duke Vincentio pretends to leave the city deputing Angelo to run the Government during his absence. Claudio, a soldier and brother of nun Isabella is imprisoned on account of fornication, leading the pregnancy of his lover Juliet. Angelo seeking virginity of Isabella to release her brother from the execution. Vincentio, hiding his identity masterminds a plan which makes Angelo to believe to have slept with Isabella, though he actually slept with Mariana, who was betrothed to him but abandoned later on account of loss of dowry. Whether Angelo's crimes were proved and was he punished?
