The Poems of Emily Dickinson is the first unedited Poems of Emily Dickinson to be published nearly 80 years after death. Emily Dickinson, an American poet during her living years was considered an eccentric, even by her friends who were only communicating to her through letters. Her poems challenged the then definitions of poetry resulting in heavy editing before being published. Most of her poems are themed around death and mortality.
