Rough Beast is a science fiction short story written by American fantasy novelist Roger D. Aycock  known by his pen name Roger Dee. He has also co-authored many science fiction works with popular science fiction writer Isaac Asimov. Among his more than thirty science fiction and fantasy novels notable include Control Group, Traders Risk, The Anglers of Arz, Assignment's End,  Problem on Balak, Clean Break, and The Rebellious Stars (The Stars, Like Dust) / An Earth Gone Mad.
