Synopsis

Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience is a collection of poems by the English Painter who had been largely recognized after his death.    His idiosyncratic views were made him to be criticized as mad by his contemporaries, however his expressiveness and creativity highly regarded by later day critics.

Some of his widely recognized works are There is No Natural Religion, The Book of Thel , Continental prophecies, America a Prophecy, The First Book of Urizen, and The Book of Ahania.  Aprat from illustrating his own writings, he also illustrated for other authors for works such as Original Stories from Real Life (Mary Wollstonecraft ), Night-Thoughts (Edward Young), The Grave (Robert Blair), Paradise Lost (John Milton), Visionary Heads (John Varley), and Virgil (Robert John Thornton).
