Synopsis

The History Of Herodotus is the first of two volume of “The Histories”,  a record of ancient traditions,  geography, politics and encounters of various cultures written by the Greek historian Herodotus who is known as “The father of History” for his systematic narrative of ancient history.  “The Histories” being the only work credited for his writing has become the masterpiece and the founding work of histories in western literature.

While he is not a fiction writer, though some of his fanciful writings are defended by him as he has recorded only what was told to him and there may be possibilities of inaccuracies.  “The Histories” is an investigation of origins of the Greco-Persian Wars with an in depth exploration of geographical and ethnographical information.
