Synopsis

The Story of the Other Wise Man is a novel of religion genre written by Henry Van Dyke, an American writer and educator remembered for his short stories such as Among The Quantock Hills from 'Days Off And Other Digressions', Antwerp Road, The Blue flower, In The Odour Of Sanctity, and Humoreske.

This novel is an expansion of Biblical Magi which narrates the 30 years of pilgrimage of a priest of the Magi named Artaban, whose quest of giving gift to the child Jesus realized during near his death and his treasures were accepted by Jesus, even though he could not give one, as he gifted all his treasures for charity during his 30 years long voyage before meeting Christ.
