Wells' short story The Country of the Blind is one of the few blind literature we could find. A valley gets isolated from the rest of the world and a disease cause them to lose their vision. Generations passed all babies are born as blind. Over the years the community never knowing about what are eyes and vision. A mountaineer accidentally falls in the valley and trying to teach them about eyes and the fifth sense. The villagers consider him as abnormal and the doctor suggests his eyes to be removed to make him normal?.
